Keith Reid

One of my favorite groups going back 55 years. Keith wrote great music, a great, great talent. Probably my favorite song is "Wreck Of The Hesperus" which was on Procol's 3rd, A Salty Dog. The last couple years have been difficult losing Gary and now Keith Reid. But both Keith and Gary are in heaven right now, composing music, making music. I think of their albums a lot and always will. RIP, Mr. Reid

It is an honour to add a tribute and some memories re. Keith. Procol Harum are known for Gary Brooker's superb piano playing and Keith Reid's scholarly, evocative lyrics. “Rest in Peace Keith Reid” I was so sad to see this news. Such a great man with an innate ability to write stunning lyrics. You will be missed by so many. My heart goes out to your family.

My heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of Keith Reid. I've been a fan of Procol Harum for over 50 years and his lyrics as the poet in residence still shine for me.

Condolences to Keith's loved ones. Procol Harum, byword for deep in a profound era of popular music, Keith added his intense, romantic imagery in fine literary form to the moving subtle airs. A Whiter Shade of Pale simultaneously exalts us, and evokes yearning for ungraspable ideals. A song for the ages. Thankyou.
