Not sure what to say?

Thank you for being such a great teacher and a great friend. Always supportive of his students and a great High School Basketball coach. Rest easy Coach, you deserve it

I was so sorry to see that Mr. Self has passed. Sorry, I can't call him anything else but Mr. Self. I played tennis at South Gate High School from '64 to '67 and learned from Mr. Self, so much about sportsmanship and being a gentleman on and off the court. He instilled in me a sense of pride that I've taken with me my whole life. Mr Self was a great soul and I'm so grateful he was a part of my life.

I had Mr. Self as a PE teacher at Fleming JR. High in the early 60's. He was a positive influence to my life.

Prayers to your family in your time of loss.

I am so very sorry for your loss. Keith and I shared the same classroom for several years at Fleming Jr. High School. I'll always remember him with a smile on his face and his kind and gentle manner with his students. I don't think he ever had to raise his voice in his home room. I hope memories of this remarkable person will always make you smile and give you peace.

I only met Mr. Self a few times but he seemed very sweet and genuine. I know that his daughter Megan was thrilled when her parents moved to Colorado Springs.

Keith, who was a teaching colleague and wonderful friend at Fleming Jr. High. He made everyone's life nicer, and improved all of our tennis games. My condolences to the family.
