Keith Simpson

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Keith A. F. Simpson, 50, a resident of Davenport, will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at the Halligan McCabe DeVries Funeral Home, Davenport. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Honoring Keith's wish the rite of cremation will be accorded after services. Keith died on Friday, October 5, 2012 in Davenport. Keith Alan Farington Simpson was born on May 9, 1962, in Davenport to Albert and Yvonne M. (Mumford) Simpson. He was a1980 graduate of Davenport Central. He was a member of the IBEW union and was currently working at Linwood Mining and Mineral. Keith was the kind of person who always put others before himself and made himself the guy to hold the family together. He was a history buff, music enthusiast, and wonderful singer and dancer. He loved the Cubs, Hawkeyes and Cleveland Browns. Keith had a great sense of humor always making jokes to lighten the mood, and never let you forget that he was, "Scotch – Irish, heavy on the scotch" Those left to honor Keith's memory include his partner in life and spouse, Nisa M.E. Cassini, Davenport and his four sons, Zackary, Benjamin, Lucas and Nicholas all of Davenport; a step daughter, Nyah Lawrence, Davenport; his mother, Yvonne Simpson, Davenport; his siblings, Deborah (Dr. Larry) Dietrich, Lakeland, FL, Doreen (John) Green, Moore, SC, Rebecca (Jeffry) Conner, Maryville, TN, Christopher (Kelly) Simpson, Davenport and Elizabeth (Scott) Atkinson, Corpus Christi, TX; as well as numerous loving nieces nephews and extended family He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Albert, Jr., and Alec. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.
