Keith A. Whitaker, 64, of North Whitehall Township, died Monday, July 23, 2018 after being stricken while vacationing on an Alaskan Cruise. He was the husband of Deborah J. (Newhard) Whitaker to whom he was married 32 years. Born in Allentown, October 21, 1953, Keith was the son of the late Walter S. Sr. and Dorothy E. (Zettlemoyer) Whitaker. A master plumber, Keith was employed at the former Yorgey Supply Co. in Schnecksville, and Tim Beil Plumbing in Laurys Station before retiring. He was a life-time member of the Schnecksville Fire Company. Keith was a member of St. John's United Church of Christ, (Mickleys) Whitehall. Survivors: In addition to his wife, Deborah; son, Zachary V. Whitaker at home; siblings, Audrey J. Saylor of Allentown, Roseann M. McCrickerd of Bethlehem, Franklin T. Whitaker of Arkansas; half sister, Helen M. Ryer of Georgia, Brenda Good of Massachusetts; predeceased by half-siblings, Walter S. Whitaker, Jr. and Fay H. Cornell. Service: Funeral services will be held 11:00 am. Monday, August 6, 2018 in the Heintzelman Funeral Home, Inc., 4906 Route 309, Schnecksville with the Rev. Virginia G. Schlegel officiating. Family and friends may pay their respects 9:30 – 11:00 am. Monday in the funeral home. Interment will follow the service at St. John's Union Cemetery, (Mickleys) Whitehall.
