Kelly Ann Lord

1968-2013

Kelly Ann Lord (Murow), 45, of Pensacola soared on the wings of angels to heaven on Thursday, November 28, 2013 after a courageous battle with Lymphoma.

Kelly was born on June 24, 1968 to Thomas P. Murow and Janet M. Murow in Traverse City, MI. Kelly graduated from Mattawan High School in 1986 and later from Chic University, School of Cosmetology. On August 19, 1989 she married her high school sweet-heart Jeffrey L. Lord. Together they had a son Zachery James and then a daughter Abigail Marie. She was the consummate wife, mother, chef, and horticulturist. Being a steadfast military spouse, she accompanied her husband to Chesapeake, VA; Norfolk, VA; Guam; Pittsburgh, PA and Pensacola, FL. Her path was crossed by countless friends along the way who maintained close contact throughout the years. Every individual she encountered always knew that she was a loyal, giving and God fairing friend with a true heart of gold which inspired and blessed them with joy. Kelly's spirit and devotional compassion was felt by every individual whom she met, and they always felt as though they had been in the true presence of an angel. Kelly possessed a uniquely creative and altruistic side that was so genuine that you could not help to ask her for her opinion regarding any manner of style, etiquette, or flavor. Her giving spirit was always demonstrated in the exquisite gardens she kept and the amazing foods she created. She will forever be greatly missed.

Kelly is survived by her husband, Jeffrey L. Lord; children, Zachery J. Lord and Abigail M. Lord; sister, Amy E. Neff, brother-in-law Christoper D. Neff, and their children Drew J. Neff and Sophie F. Neff; brother-in-law, Timothy W. Lord and his sons, Nathan P. Lord and Andrew A. Lord; sister-in-law, Michele R. Savio, brother-in-law, Patrick T. Savio and their children, Mary E. Savio and Dominic S. Savio; her father, Thomas P. Murow and mother, Janet M. Murow; father-in-law, Stanley N. Lord and his wife, Collene R. Lord and mother-in-law, Kathleen A. Davis.

Visitation will held 5-7pm Sunday, December 1, 2013 at Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel in Pensacola. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00am Monday, December 2, 2013 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 10650 Gulf Beach Hwy., Pensacola, FL 32507, with Fr. Thomas Collins, celebrant.

The family would like to extend our sincere gratitude to Dr. Thomas Sunnenberg and all of the nursing staff of the oncology ward and clinic at Sacred Heart Hospital, Dr. Roy Jones of MD Anderson Hospital in Houston, TX and the physicians and staff at Covenant Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society to leave a legacy of hope for others (www.lls.org) or by calling 1-888-557-7177.

Not sure what to say?

Still think of her happy face when she would come over to play with Jenny. Jenny thought she was her sister. Will always remember her!

Think of Kelly and her family every time this date comes up. That Thanksgiving I was fixing dinner and when the phone rang I knew it was about Kelly, I just couldn't answer the phone. She was Turn Sunshine to all the knew her. Good Bless her family!

I think of Kelly and her family almost everyday, she will always live in our hearts forever. Prayers for her 1 year mark to be with God.

Kelly - one of my ALL time favorite students. I am deeply saddened for your family's loss.

My sincerest sympathy at your loss. May God comfort you and your children through these difficult times. May your beautiful memories bring you peace. You are in my prayers.

We at Vince Whibbs Automotive express our sincere sympathy to Jeff, Zach, Abigail and Family. We had many car dealings over the years. Dr Lord would send kelly out to preview several models that would be best for themselves and the family. Then they would talk by phone and get there best price. It was such a pleasure working with Kelly. She was always so happy and energetic. She was a people person and it was always reflected in her smile. Rest in peace Kelly.
