Kelsie ReAnn Remington Tingen, age 21, passed away Friday November 24, 2023 in a tragic vehicle accident. Kelsie was born December 18, 2001 in American Fork, Utah to Sariah and Reed Remington. She was the oldest of five children. She lived in Orem, Springville, Saratoga Springs and Provo, UT.
She grew up in a large loving family with four siblings, lots of cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents who she loved being with. She was very talented, playing several instruments and loved to sing. Kelsie loved the outdoors, hiking, working out, dancing, playing sports, photography, being with friends and family and the gospel of Jesus Christ serving in many callings, including a temple worker.
Kelsie attended and graduated with a 4.0 from Westlake High School, in Saratoga Springs where she played flute for Honors, Concert, All-State and Marching Bands. She loved being with this group of people, her band family. In the marching band, she marched flute. She was also the flute section leader for her Junior year and the head drum major for her Senior year. This was her passion and joy.
She also had a talent for art. She started going to College at Utah Valley University as a Digital Art major, but then later changed to a Radiology Technician major. She had plans to walk with a 4.0 for her Associate degree in May 2024 and her Bachelor degree in 2025.
Kelsie served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Maryland Baltimore Mission, speaking ASL from June 2021 to Dec 2022. She loved her mission and serving people. Kelsie had a natural light and joy with her. This light of Christ was felt by many and helped them to feel loved and find purpose in this life. She really missed her mission after coming home. This showed her love and dedication to the people she served and the strength of her testimony of Christ.
Kelsie met and married Chase Michael Tingen on July 21, 2023 in the Payson, Utah Temple for time and all eternity. It was obvious they loved each other with full fervor. They created life-long memories during their four months of marriage.
Kelsie is survived by her husband Chase Tingen; her parents Sariah and Reed Remington; her siblings: Clarissa, Brinlee, Kaleb, Kaylie; and her Grandparents: Wayne and Deloris Hill, Randy, and Sylvia Jenkins, Delwin and Marcia Remington.
Kelsie’s life was brief, but she will live in our hearts forever. We are blessed to feel her love, see her light, and witness her example.
The Remington and Tingen families wish to thank their families, friends, wards, and communities for their outpouring of love and support during this time.
A public viewing will be held on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 5:00 to 8:00pm at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 947 N. Jack Rabbit Run, Saratoga Springs, UT 84045. Funeral Services will be Monday, December 18, 2023, 10am at the same location. Grave dedication will follow services at the Lehi City Cemetery. We welcome friends and family to all services.

I miss Kelsie so much! I'm so sorry for your loss. Kelsie was in marching band when I decided I would join my senior year, she was always, ALWAYS a good person, which can't be said for many high schoolers.
We met again in ASL through college at UVU, and I never thought she'd still be so kind, she was. Although we were never close, she made me feel important and loved. You wouldn't believe the effect she had on our classmates, we're still mourning her loss, it is so hard. I can't image...

Getting to know Kelsie was one of the great blessings of serving in the Maryland Baltimore mission. She would light up the room and brighten your day. We have no doubt she has the angels in heaven dancing.

We were blessed to know Sister Remington on her mission. She is a spiritual giant. She radiated joy and happiness. The image of Christ was in her accountants, and all around her could feel her love, her testimony, and her faith in Christ. She was a model disciple of Jesus Christ. She is a light that is that will be missed. We love her with all of our hearts and pray for the peace of Christ to be in the hearts of her loved ones.
