Not sure what to say?

Bless you Ken, you were a real friend and teacher. Always available when I needed a Pro, or "plan of approach" for establishing Medical Ads & Feature Communications over three decades ago for the "first" Free-Standing Urgent Care Centers in Dallas, Houston and Beaumont, (1980). MedNet, Medical Networks, Inc., benefited from your skill set and friendship. Remembering Hurrican Carla with Ken and Dan Rather, KHOU-TV Houston, and media interview training. Ken was a special leader and pal to...

Like Laurel Ornish, I worked at KLRD 1080 in the 1980's, when Ken was GM and Tony deHaro was News Director. KRLD was absolutely the BEST! "All News All Day," then "All News All the Time." Truly the epitome of journalistic integrity. In later years, I enjoyed working with Ken in public relations and media interview training. A great guy and superbly professional, Ken was kind, wise and had a fabulous sense of humor! I learned so much from him. He will be greatly missed. May the memories of him...

Ken was a great friend for over 40 years. It was a honor and previledge to produce his show at WMCA radio in NYC. TO SEE HIS PROFESSIONALISM while
working the first "play by play" of a bank holdup (Dog Day Afternoon) and
his sense of humor while sharing our mutual "Birthday pickles". Ken I will forever miss you my friend.

Lisa:
So sorry for your loss. I bet that he taught his children a lot and will be missed.

I had the great pleasure and privilege of being one of Ken's media-coaching ‘projects' in the 1980s. He was a consummate professional and such a master at his craft. What he taught me definitely saved my bacon in many a challenging media situation. As our paths continued to cross over the years, he was ever the wonderful conversationalist, quick with a story and full of curiosity. He was a great gift to us all and will be very well remembered. My deepest sympathies to his family.

My sympathy and condolences in the loss of Ken Fairchild. I was saddened by the news report. Ken was a respected and appreciated professional. I will miss him.

Ken's sense of humor and dedication to his family are some of my favorite memories. We will miss him.

What a privilege it was to have this amazing newsman as the announcer for ESD softball games, even after his daughters had graduated. He approached his job at the field by getting the lineups and taking his place at the microphone sitting on a plywood cart as if it was just as fine a setup as he had ever had. What a gentlemen! I ran into him off season at another event one time, and he gave me a hug and told me how well my daughter had played in the basketball game, and how he was looking...

Some of my best childhood memories include when the Fairchild family came over for game night when we lived in Summit, New Jersey! I am praying for all of you and smiling at the thought of my Dad, Ron Stone, and Ken getting to laugh together again.
