Deeply saddened to read if Dr Becker's passing away . He was my teacher and mentor at G W University hospital during my Endocrinology fellowship . Will always remember his friendly manner ,his teachings ,wherein he simplified the most complicated pathways ,his support and encouragement throughout my Fellowship . Most heartfelt condolences to the Becker family as we mourn the passing of this great Doctor and even greater person, He treated our family years ago for inherited gene based medullary thyroid cancer. He was always compassionate and precise and his calcitonin assay represented breakthrough science before certain genes were identified and found measurable in newer techniques. Our entire family (Nilsens and Chiarello´s) send our deepest sympathies.
