Not sure what to say?

Lee Ann and Ken were our friends in Norton, KS. Dale and Ken would play their guitars and sing for hours. We had such special memories. 1973- 1978. Prayers for Lee Ann and family. Our minister in OKC, OK was Ken´s brother Rod.

Ken was a great colleague, outstanding wildlife biologist and a people person (often a rare combination). I saw that instantly when I first met him in 1989 and witnessed a presentation he gave on rare species. Ken taught me about the ecology of the gypsum caves in the Red Hills and I taught him about the freshwater mussels in the rivers of southeast Kansas. The field trips to learn were the best part of our careers. Thanks for the excellent memories, Ken.

"All wordly riches and tributes of men, can't hold a candle to the worth of a friend" (Baxter Black). What a blessing this man was! I treasure the hours we spent together as we crusaded to conserve special critters in our natural world. But the last few years sharing our love of music touched my heart like no other time together. It's fitting that the last farewell we shared on this earth was in Winfield after a Steel Wheels set, when Ken and Lee Ann loaned me the shade of their umbrella....

Enjoyed working with Ken at Fish & Game. I admire his work with Nature. I really enjoyed listening to him play and sing both in person and online videos. My love to his family and friends.

I remember listening to Ken and his daughter playing music on their cabin patio at the KHS field trip on the Hoy Ranch near Elmdale, KS!
