He was A US Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict and was a life-long Cubs Baseball fan and FSU Seminole fan.
He is preceded in death by his son, Kenneth D. Carr; step-son, Mark Dice and brother, Donovan Carr.
He is survived by his wife of 22 years, Geri H. Carr of Lecanto, FL; son, Richard D. Carr (Dena) of Cedar Island, FL; daughters, Carla Gray (Skipper) of Freeport, FL and Cindy Alvarez of Oxnard, CA; step-daughter, Debi Dice Zakany of Lakeland, FL; brother, Ronnie Carr of Lake Okeechobee, FL and sister, Geni Thompson of Lawrenceville, GA. Fourteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren along with numerous family members and friends also survive.
