Mr. Carrigan was a very fair and honest landlord when I rented from him while I attended Bradley U.

Joan, just heard about Kenny’s passing through the PHS email and I’m so sorry for you and your family. You and Kenny kept our classmate email going for all these many years and it was always enjoyable to read about what everyone was doing. I’m sure it’s going to be hard for awhile but you have many memories to help you along. May God bless you.

Dam, hope you get this... Thanks for sending me your family history & family background on he Carrigans in & around Peoria...YES, we are relted in some way, probably as cousins... I noticed my Dad, John Ambrose Carrigan & his family were listed... It was under Moris & Mary Carrigan... There were actually 11 children in my Dad's family, but only 8 survived... Jim's twin twin & another set of twins died at birth... That left Thomas; John, my Dad nicked named Bud; Katherin (Knapp) Carrigan;...

I am so sorry to learn about Ken's passing. I worked with Ken on a few occasions through the years. Both of us were Local 34 members, also Peoria High alums. We would share stories and laughs about bygone high school days. We even had some of the same teachers, all though 15 years apart. Ken was a great guy to know; I consider him a friend and will miss him. Bill Greene Lakewood, Colorado

RIP Kenny and prayers with the Carrigan family. Our paths and efforts crossed often. Many great civic efforts and many opportunities to move the community forward. The most serious of those discussions ended with a handshake and a smile. We were certainty all blessed by Kenny.

Many years ago had the pleasure of being next door neighbors to Ken and Joan. Our friendship remained a gift over the years I love them both and will miss Kenny. His positivity was infectious. And we shared many interests Much love to Joan

My husband and I, both Peoria Historical Society guides, took Kenny to lunch one day, just to hear more of his stories about Peoria, back in the day. We loved his "Naughty-to-Nice" tours where he frequently went "off-script" with personal anecdotes. He lived a long and interesting life among Peoria's Southside Irish. (According to John, Kenny would probably have shared even more stories if I hadn't been present! Ha!)
