My Dear Friend Ken. The view from my window has always been brighter with you in sight. Kind words, supportive talks, sincere smiles. You my Dear Friend, have brought me Understanding, Love, Patience and Acceptance of what life brings. I love you as a Friend, Brother, Father and Confidant. I thank God for every moment He allowed me to share with you and for the great thoughts that I shall always possess. Carpe Diem

Watching his dynasty

My Dad had a "carpe diem" philosophy of life. He loved his kids, his 11 grandkids, and the 11 great-grandkids... he called them his "dynasty" with his usual big smile. And I and all the rest of us loved him back for his humor, his generosity-- and even for the way he'd push us to be more, and accept us for who we were at the same time. Though our grateful nation mourns with you in your loss, we can only feel a small part of the loss you are experiencing.

Your loved one will always be a part of our country's story. As such, their sacrifice on behalf of our nation will always be honored.

In deepest sympathy.
