Ken was one of my teachers during residency. He was an astute, critical thinker and an excellent preceptor. Ken was also a notable scientist. Though we didn't collaborate, I had the pleasure of being his colleague for quite a few years. He was a dignified, thoughtful individual with a dry wit and high professional and personal standards. Our departmental Grand Rounds were often punctuated by Ken posing a really penetrating question. We'll all miss him.
