Not sure what to say?

Today, I am reading of the passing of my Uncle Kenneth Codin on google. He was the last surviving son born to Philip Albert and Lena Rachel Cohen. He was the second to the youngest of 11 children. Brother of the late, Harry Cohen, Michael Carson, Jack Cohen, Minnie Berg, Ida Fink, and Sarah (Sally) Cohen.

Dr. Codin was a kind and thoughtful physician who cared for me and my family with compassion and understanding.

Thank you for taking the time at Dr. Codin's wake to share some of the stories we seem to all remember. He was a wonderful man and it was an honor to have him as a friend and doctor. We would not have had the children we had if not for him. Something I will be forever in his debt. His genuine concern and care will never be matched. May he rest in peace.

Uncle Ken was not only our family doctor and a father figure to me, but one of the most influential people in my life. I have fond memories of him making house calls on snowy nights and never wearing a heavy coat. He helped us through our growing pains and remained a mentor and friend throughout his life. The fond memories of him are too numerous to list, but our repeated competition for the last piece of blueberry pie brings a smile to mind and on one occasion chased me with a big fake...

My condolences to you on the loss of a wonderful man. Doctor Codin was our family physician when I was growing up in Stoneham. He was a good friend to my parents Chester and Marian Polk. So good in fact that my brother Kenneth was named for him. He delivered my two sisters as well. I remember many home visits when we were young and his being very supportive of my Mother when my Dad was diagnosed with brain cancer. When my cousin and I decided to have our ears pierced he took time to be...

Dr. Codin was not only a family doctor and friend, but one of the most influential people in my life. I have fond memories of him making housecalls on snowy nights at our Franklin St. home and taking time to have a cup of tea with my grandmother, Mamie; but more importantly his intervention gave me the two most wonderful and caring parents a child could have and I am forever thankful. From walking me down the aisle in place of my deceased father, attending my graduation from nusing school...

I remember Dr. Codin giving me my small pox vacination in 1945 before I started first grade. I was five years old and it was in my grandparents' bedroom on Franklin Street in Stoneham.

So sorry for your loss. He was my family's doctor when he was in Stoneham. My Mother grew up with him as her doctor and he then was my doctor as well as my brother & sister. He was a great Doctor and a very compassionate person. We still talk about him to this day that there are no more Doctors like him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow. He will be greatly missed.
