After retirement he was actively involved in his golf community, serving as Secretary and Treasurer to the Highland Woods Board of Directors, and serving many years of President and Treasurer of Highland Woods Terrace II. In his love for golf, Ken made a hole-in one on Highland Woods hole #5 in June 2013. He enjoyed many summers with his family at Lake Wauwanoka in Missouri. Along with his admiration of antique cars he also enjoyed general tinkering with technology and sharing his enthusiasm of history. Surviving him are his wife of 50 years, Susan Dahman (nee George) of Bonita Springs, FL, sons Michael (Angie) Dahman and their children Paige, Brooke, Claire, and Cole, of Huntington Beach, CA, and Kevin Dahman and his daughter Myra of Columbia, MO, brother Ronald (Elaine) Dahman of St. Louis, MO, brother in law Bob (Connie) George, sisters in law Nancy (John) Heitkamp, and Christa (Scott) Johnston. Ken was also cousin to the late Rich and Erna Beljan. He will be remembered fondly as an uncle, great uncle, second cousin, and close friend to many.
