I'm a member of Mr. Dawson's church, Sixth-Grace Presbyterian. Mr. D was a devoted member serving as an elder, July Birthday Club member, Youth Group Sponsor and other offices at Sixth-Grace. He and Mrs. Dawson, at times, would open up their Michigan Summer home to us in the youth group where we'd get the chance to get out of Chicago's stifling summer heat and enjoy nice cool Michigan waters and scenery.
