Read MoreKenny and I attended the Normandin Jr. High School and were graduated from New Bedford High School, Class of 1955. We played baseball at Brooklawn Park and were on the same team (The Hawks) in the Standard-Times newspaper league, both being paperboys. I have a picture of Kenny with other Northend kids, taken after a championship game. Good memories. He was a credit to New Bedford and its fine schools.

I always found him a very pleasant conversationalist. He would occasionally stop in my office and we would have a great little chat. I kept hoping I'd see him somewhere around town and we could do it once more.
