Send FlowersKenneth Eugene Duncan, 61, of Thomaston, Georgia, a U.S. Army veteran of Vietnam, and a sales representative for Thomaston Mills, died at Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston on Friday, September 1, 2000. Visitation is scheduled for Saturday, September 2, 2000, 7-9 p.m., at Pasley-Fletcher Funeral Home, 628 North Church Street, Thomaston. Funeral services are scheduled for Sunday, September 3, 4 p.m., at First Baptist Church, officiated by Dr. Edwin L. Cliburn. Burial will be on Sunday, September 3, at South View Cemetery, Thomaston. Contributions may be made to I A Drang Scholarship Fund, c/o Brig. Gen. (Ret.) Art Junot, 1st Cavalry Division Foundation, 30302 North Main Street, Coppers Grove, TX 76522.

Having just recently learned that Kenneth was a veteran of Ia Drang, and living in Thomaston, I was particularly saddened to learn of his death. (I also grew up in Silvertown, graduated from Lee in 1954, and served in Vietnam.)
