I had the pleasure of meeting Ken back in the mid 1980s. At the time, I was 20-some years old and looking for an old Ford Model T. It was suggested to me by a mutual friend that I contact Ken and ask for his help with finding a car. Little did Ken know what he was getting himself into. Not only did he help me acquire a car, but he helped me get it home (30 miles), got it running (after many months of work) and taught me how to drive it. I knew your Dad over the years from my father( Don Lake), he was into the Antique Cars as well. he would often go over to Duane's house and horse trade on the antique parts and would go to the car show as well. Greenfield Village was always the big one for him. Pretty sure all the friend's your dad knew ,my father knew them too! God Bless

Even in his later years when I knew him, Duane was friendly, happy, and industrious. I had the pleasure of seeing him cane a chair seat, one of his many hobbies. It was clear he took pride in his work...but what else would we expect from one of The Greatest Generation? The love and devotion he shared with Marie was exceptional.
