Not sure what to say?

Dear Carolyn,
You and your family are sincerely in our prayers.

When Tony's phone rings at night, there is a certain sadness because we are so accustomed to it being Dr. Ellis or as Tony puts it, “Dr. E." Tony has picked up the phone to call him, and remembered that he is heaven.

We are forever grateful to God for allowing us to share this place and space in time with Dr. E. He was such a special human being, and we are missing such a special friend.

Brenda,
I was so sad to hear of your news, but I wanted you to know that I been thinking of you and your family. Was remembering one of the times when I was at your birthday parties and the smile your dad had on his face when Brad was mad because he couldn't open your gifts!! (sorry brad)It was back when we were all still at Park School, maybe 3rd grade? Anyway may you all feel the love and support around you in the days to come. ...

To the family of Dr. Ellis,

My deepest condolences to you at this time of grief. Know that God is watching over you in a special way in the weeks to come, and will shelter you in his arms.

Dr. Ellis once asked me if I would like to help a patient "get plastered" after the patient had broken his leg. I was rather taken aback, as this was not in character with what Dr would normally have said. It did show me a special side of him that remains to this day.

The...

Carolyn,
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Liz Coleman

Dear Carolyn & Family,

Please accept our sincere sympathy at this very very difficult time. We visited with Ken at Walmart a few months ago and he was so excited to be able to spend quality time with the grandchildren. Our prayers are with you as you approach the Christmas season without your dear husband, Dad and Grandfather.

Dear Carolyn, Brenda and Brad,
I was shocked when I heard about Ken's death.
I have so many fond memories of Ken. Working with him at Good Samaritan Hospital. Driving and flying with him to other hospitals in Nebraska. Sharing stories about friends, family and colleagues. They where truly happy times. Ken was the best orthopedic surgeon I have ever worked with.
I hope these reflections will give you comfort as we pass through this life.
God Bless You.

What a fine man, what a devoted man of God...what a wonderful doctor. You are blessed with his legacy...I am just sorry you could not all go to heaven at the same time, but the time will pass quickly. God bless you.

im so sorry for your loss, dr ellis was my orthopedic since i was about 3 years old until i was 21, from the time i cam from lexington with a broken arm and had to have it reset, we stuck with him he will be missed very much.

You are in our thoughts/prayers. I will always have fond memories of Ken and your family and felt you were great neighbors whom I'd always admired tremendously.

May peace be with you, Chris Bancroft
