Kenneth Lloyd ""Kenny'' Erickson, 85, Hermantown, died Sept. 6, 2008 at St. Lukes Hospital. He was born in Duluth on April 3, 1923 to Gilbert and Sophia Olson. Kenny was a graduate of Proctor High School and the Dunwoody Institute in Minneapolis. He was a decorated Army veteran of World War II, serving as a glider pilot during Operation Market Garden in Holland with the 101st Airborne Inf. Div. and also participated in the Battle of The Bulge. His many awards and citations included the Bronze Star. Kenny had worked as a draftsman for the Scott-Graf Co. and later retired as an inspector with the Duluth Housing Authority. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Trinity Masonic Lodge and the Scottish Rite Bodies, Valley of Duluth. He enjoyed golf, the Twins and the Vikings. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother, Chester. Kenny is survived by his brother, Glenn (Audrey), Bloomington, Minn.; sister, Doris Leslie, Hermantown; and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and friends. VISITATION:10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. funeral service Wednesday in Zion Lutheran Church, Duluth. Burial at Bethany Cemetery. Arrangements by Williams-Lobermeier Funeral Home.
