Kayleen and family,
Sorry to hear about your loss, my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Your father left many great footprints in the Flint area to be followed by so many.

I don't know many who wont miss this great man, I have lived in Jackson, Mi for many years so it was on special occasions I got to see him and many others. We saw him at my brother Dougs donut shop, he and we all have a great regard for his many contributions to our alumni Bendle. He also came to our 50th reunion and others, we appreciated that so much. My condolences to the family.

I remember Mr. Gempel as my favorite teacher and coach, and the person whom instilled disipline, both in the classroom and on the field. As my science teacher (1947) and football-baseball coach later, I felt I could always turn to Mr. Gempel for sincere advice and direction. He will always be in my fond memory.
Prayers amd sympathy for the family.
