Kenneth W. Golden, 93, of Johnsonville, passed away on Friday, June 15th, 2018 at Easton Hospital, Easton, PA.

Kenneth was born in Johnsonville, PA on April 9, 1925, a son of the late Herbert and Hattie (Hess) Golden.

He and his wife, the former Margaret "Peggy" L. McSorley, observed their 71st wedding anniversary in April. He was a 1941 graduate of Bangor High School. Kenneth worked as a care taker for Stephen Bartlett, in Mt. Bethel, PA, until retiring. Prior to that, he worked for the former J & J Manufacturing, and the former J.H. Beer's. He proudly served in the U.S. Marines, during WW II, in the Fifth Marine Division in the Battle of Iwo Jima and then he served with the Occupational Forces in Japan. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing quoits for Cheesie's Village Bar and also playing baseball, for Johnsonville, in the Blue Mountain League. After retirement, he enjoyed playing cards and going golfing. He was a member of the Dyle E. Bray, VFW Post 739, in Bangor.

In addition of his wife Peggy, he is survived by three daughters, Patsy Menecola and her husband Donald, Lee Ann Lambert and her husband Louie, Terri Snyder and her husband Mickey; sister, Leona Drury; brother, Bill Golden; 3 grandchildren Jackie Keith, David Menecola, Bo Snyder; and 2 great grandchildren Alayna and Ariella Menecola.

Family and friends may call, from 6 to 8 PM, on Monday, June 18th, 2018 in the Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc. 4 Lillian Lane, "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA. Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be offered at gaffneyparsons.com.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Dyle E. Bray VFW, Post 739, 202 Veteran's Road, Bangor, PA 18013.
