Not sure what to say?

A bright spot in my morning at work was seeing Ken, "Greenie" to me, walking down the hall of DCTS. Every day he was there he would come to see me or I him and share a little story or observation of the day. That goes back many years. He was a special man to many who know him and his memory will live on through all of us. He touched a lot of lives through his work and love of fishing and I thank him for all he's given me over the years. What a special friend he was. We will miss him...

"Greenie" as my wife, Marty, & I fondly referred to him was a treasure of a man and such a dear friend to us both. Ken taught me how to fly fish a few years back and I will never forget his kindness and giving nature. Marty adored Ken. He always brighten up her days at DCVT for so many years. We will miss him dearly but will never forget him. Our love to his family and many friends.

When I think back over the years, to my favorite memories and times, Uncle Ken is there. The times when all seemed right with the world: Christmas time in Churchtown, where fires burned in the fireplaces, the house was full of food, family and friends laughing and talking. Summer parties at the club where we swam in the big old bright blue concrete pool, Memorial Day picnics, and the special times he and Aunt Betty would just stop by to visit. I will miss Uncle Ken, but couldn't be happier...

What an interesting man Uncle Ken was - we were always learning about a new hobby, craft or adventure that he took an interest in. I too, vividly remember the curly french fries at family picnics and will charish the jewelry that he created. My thoughts are with Aunt Betty and family.

I was watching old videos of the family picnic last week from 1989 at Aunt "No-No's" and Uncle Ralph's house and there was the french fry wagon-Man, those were good fries! I got to know Uncle Ken better about 8 years ago when I was sick. He was so kind and caring, and what a sense of humor! My deepest sympathy to his family. What a joy and honor to have had such a wonderful man in your lives. I love and will miss him dearly.

I worked with Ken when he was a substitute teacher at DCTS, he was a great man and I still have a fishing lure that he made for me that I will always treasure. He will be missed.

Although I only knew Ken for a short time he was an inspiration and wonderful mentor for my new found venture of silversmithing. He was a kind and gentle person who loved to teach his craft. Amanda, who is only 11, looked forward to the days when I would take her to Ken's shop. His patience with the novice was great. We are deeply saddened by Ken's passing, however we feel Blessed to have known him and to have been students of his.
I pray that his family will find peace in knowing he is...
