Kenneth Dale Hammer, 69, of Stoney Point, N.C., resident of Purvis, died February 8, 2013 at his home. Services will be held in Taylorsville, N.C. at a later date.

Mr. Hammer was an Auto Body Technician with Mississippi Auto Auction in Hattiesburg. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover and Lucille Hammer, and one brother, Jerry Hammer.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Hammer of Purvis; two sons, Shane Hammer of Stoney Point, N.C., and Josey Hammer of Zwolle, La.; one brother, Roland Hammer of Taylorsville, N.C.; one sister, Becky Gibions of Elton, Md.; two grandchildren,; four step grandchildren; and one step daughter.
