Kenneth D. Hedrick

Obituary

'Toolman Bob'

STEVENSVILLE - Kenneth was born Oct. 20, 1946, to Dorothy and Stan Hedrick. His first years were spent in eastern Montana. In 1988, Ken became involved with FOCAS (Fellowship of Christian Adult Singles) in Billings. It was here he met many wonderful friends, including Kelli Cocchiarella; they hit it off immediately and in December, 1988, they were married.
He was a top salesperson - hardware was his specialty. Kelli convinced Ken in 2001 that she needed to be closer to her family in Missoula. He instantly fell in love with the mountains and the water. It was here that a new life began for them. Kenneth found the job he had always wanted, with Ace Hardware. He loved Ace and his Ace family. He, "Bob," appeared in many of their commercials; his smile and wit made him an instant star. He told his family and friends how blessed he was at this time in his life to have a family, job and friends that he loved.
Ken passed away Nov. 27, 2007, after a terrible car accident.
He is survived by his wife, Kelli, of the family home; his mother, Marilyn Hedrick; his daughters, Samantha (Brett), Heather (Mark) and Heidi (Matt); his son, David (Lexi); but the angels in his life were his grandchildren. Ken's first grandchild, Simone, became the beginning of a marvelous grandpa in training. This unconditional love grew with each grandchild who are Cole, William, Connor, Cooper, Sully, Bella and the newest bundle of joy, Aiden; and his dear sisters, Judy (Bill) and Sheena (Leroy).
First Interstate Bank in Missoula, has set up a benefits account (Kelli Hedrick) to help with medical expenses.
Ken's grandson Cole put it perfectly, "now he can watch all the good things I'm going to do." Rest in peace, sweet Kenny, we will miss you.
Cremation is under the care of Cremation & Burial Society of the Rockies. A celebration of Ken's life will be in the early summer.
