Not sure what to say?

I never got the chance to actually meet Kenneth, but through the stories the Bowmans told of him and Dona Belle I got to know him in that way. I know he is with God now and will be missed by all.

From the Pike County Public Library in Petersburg, Indiana I wish to say that it was so generous of Ken to donate his 12 volumes of WW II Memorial Books to our library. We are very proud of his timeless works and so proud or Ken to remember his comrades who had gone before him.
The day Ken brought his books to our library, he broke in tears at the story how his comrades were killed and he survived. He said he had never been able to understand the “why” he was spared. I said, “Ken, who...

Kenneth was like a second Dad to my brother, sister, and me. He always had time for us and taught us much about life, loving, and caring. We miss you, Kenneth!

Kenneth was so dearly loved and thought of by both my husband and me and all three of our children. They loved both Ken and Dona Belle as a second set of parents. We'll miss you Ken very much, but know you are with God, in Heaven.

Mr. Hunley is one of the special Marines of Iwo Jima. Iwo Jima will always be in the hearts and minds of all Marines. The inscription by Admiral Nimitz on the Iwo Jima Memorial in Washington, DC is, "Uncommon valor is a common virtue". Mr. Hunley will always be a Marine brother.

We will greatly miss him. He and Dona Belle are our "bonus" set of parents and we love them both dearly!

I was lucky enough to have both Mr. and Mrs. Hunley for teachers. I remember him as a kind, easy going man with a big smile. You wanted to do your best for him. I am so sorry for your loss, you both were loved by many students.

There is one teacher that can change your life. Mr. Hunley was that teacher for me. I will forever be grateful.

I remember Mr. Hunley as our 6th grade teacher at Ella Williams in Boonville. He was a big man with a gentle and kind spirit. Also remember Mrs. Hunley substitute teaching and playing basketball with us. I know you will miss him Mrs. Hunley, he was one of our nicest men teachers.
