Connor-Healy Funeral Home - Manchester Obituary

Kenneth W. Jamro, 82, of Merrimack, NH, passed away bravely on September 15, 2025, after a lengthy illness, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Manchester on May 3, 1943, he was the son of the late John W. Jamro and his wife, Esther. He was raised in Manchester and moved to Merrimack in 1971 to raise his family. He attended Manchester High School Central.

In his early years, Kenneth worked as a licensed master electrician for fifteen years before beginning a long and fulfilling career as a line operator with Anheuser-Busch, where he was employed for twenty-five years. He was a proud member of the Teamsters Local 663 and was respected by his colleagues for his strong work ethic and steady nature.

During the Vietnam War, Kenneth faithfully served his country with the United States Navy, a service he carried with quiet pride throughout his life.

For many years, he was a dedicated girls softball coach with Merrimack Youth Softball, where he mentored and encouraged young athletes both on and off the field. He also was an empire for adult softball games. He held membership with the Alpine Club.

Known as a true “jack of all trades,” Kenneth enjoyed helping others and was always ready with thoughtful advice or a steady hand. His family was the heart of his world, and his greatest joy came from time spent with them.

He found happiness in the simple pleasures of life, deep sea fishing, bowling, playing cards and cribbage, and cheering on his favorite sports teams. Though a loyal New England sports fan, he also proudly supported the New York Giants, often sparking lively conversations with friends and family.

Kenneth will be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, grandfather, brother, and a loyal friend. His wisdom, humor, and generosity of spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Family members include his beloved wife of fifty-nine years, Linda (Clancy) Jamro; two daughters, Cynthia Fraser and her husband, Stuart, of Hillsborough, and Eleanor Griffin and her husband, Matthew, of Auburn; four grandchildren, Zachery Fraser, Megan Fraser, Olivia Griffin, Jonathan Griffin; a great-granddaughter, Hazel; two sisters, Barbara McHugh of NC and Glady Gurtner of FL; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, John Jamro, Jacqueline Loiselle, Esther Cole, and Donald Wallace.

Services: Calling hours will be Monday, September 22, 2025, from 4 to 7 PM at Connor-Healy Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 537 Union Street, Manchester, NH 03104.

A committal service with military honors will be held Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 11 AM in the chapel at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Boscawen, NH.

Not sure what to say?

Mr. Jamro, Thank you for your service RDM Windham NH

Sorry to hear of your loss Jamro family.

Our condolences to you Cindy. We both know that losing a dad leaves a bit hole in one's heart. To Zach and Megan, the loss of their Grampy the same. A piece of our heart goes with them but also the best of them is left behind. Hugs from both of us
