Kenneth Jewell

Mr. Kenneth (Hassan) Eric Jewell was the son of William Henry Jewell who survives and late Allie R. Jewell.  Kenneth was on January 29, 1943 in Warren County, Kentucky. Kenneth was called home on Thursday, October 14, 2010 at the age of 67 years at his residence in Los Angles, California.

Kenneth was preceded in death by three brothers: Fredrick Jewell, William Harvey Jewell and Ronald Jewell: one aunt Alberta Herndon; one great aunt, Frances Edmonds.

He was a graduate of High Street High School.  He moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where he worked for the Coroner as an assistant for the State of Ohio.  On April 8, 1968 Kenneth joined the United State Army.  He was honorably discharged April 7, 1974.  Kenneth received honorably Medal of Conduct.  National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal w/ device, and Sharpshooter (rifle).  After serving his country, he became a Licensed Cosmetologist in the State of California, he was owner and operator of Fairfax Coiffures in Los Angeles, CA.  He was a Licensed plumber from Trade Tech and Truck for Veteran Administration.

He leaves to mourn and cherish his memories three sons Kenneth Jewell Jr., Christopher Jewell and Freddie Ferguson; five brothers: William Howard Jewell (Tina) of Louisville, KY, Jerry Lee Jewell (Brenda) of Louisville, KY, Mike Shipley (CeCe) of Louisville, KY., Gill Nunn (Dorthea) of Virginia Beach, Virginia, Donzay Patterson (Carol) of Indianapolis, Ind.; four daughter: Cherry L. Rawls (Kip) of Corona, CA, Sharnell Smith (Houston) of Bowling Green, KY, Darnell Granderson (Wilbur) of Evansville, IN and Felisha Nunn of Auburn, KY; several five grandchildren, four great-children; one sister-in-law, Margaret Jewell of Lexington, KY; one aunt: Ruby Edwards of Russellville, KY, two great-aunts: : Beatrice Martin and Evangelina Edmonds of Alvaton, KY.; a host of nieces , nephews, cousins and friends
