Not sure what to say?

Ken was like an onion. The more layers you peeled off you realized what a complex and talented man he was. He would never volunteer any of this information and you literally would have to drag it out of him. Like so many others I first knew him through PB and I told him if he poached my forehand again I would hit him the back of his head, you know how effective that was. As time went on it became necessary to tell him to get what ever he wanted. I miss you Ken Jim Delavan

I only knew Ken through pickleball and the fact that we were both notorious poachers. Of course, Ken was always the Number One Poacher, but that was OK with me. We shared our poaching stories and eventually reached the conclusion that poaching is an addiction with no known cure. We would joke that we had formed a group called Poachers Anonymous. Ken and I were actually the only members - at least we were the only players who would admit to our addiction.

I think of Ken often....

Oh how life throws at us such hard news and the experience of such of loss can never be fully processed by those not in your world or how it feels in your heart...

Ken lived on Kampenga in his younger years. Our neighborhood kids had lots of fun. The times we had at that time were fantastic. Lots of good memories. We also graduated together. Bev Thompson Vandervest Bev Thompson Vandervest

Hello. I heard the crash of a motorcycle and car collision in Fruitland Township on August 4 and went to assist but to no avail. If this was Ken, my heartfelt condolences are with you. His obituary shows what a fine person he was and will be missed. Carlet Mitenbuler

I have known Ken for the 8 years I have played Pickleball. He was always kind and respectful - always complementing a good shot. All my conversations with him were always about things of interest to me, which I found to be very courteous. I also noticed that he was a detail person - taking on the fine touches that made things special. He would offer me a drink and he would make it special. Even a beer would include a frosted mug. He seemed to do everything first class. That...
