Kenneth Ira Kersch

Professor Kersch was my favorite professor at Boston College. He was beyond generous with his time and insights. In fact, generosity is not a deep enough word. He was an endless reservoir of insight, sarcasm, humor, curiosity, and intellectual pathos. The university is poorer for his loss, as is the world. I will miss him

I took two of Dr. Kersch's classes as an undergraduate student at Boston College and after I graduated, Dr. Kersch continued served as valuable source of guidance and inspiration. While he was sick, Dr. Kersch and I kept in regular correspondence. And even while he was in the hospital, he still made time to talk to me. I will never forget that and always be grateful to him for that. Rest in peace to a great professor and an even greater man. He will be missed immensely. He truly left his...
