Kenneth Klusmann

Kenneth D. Klusmann, 76, New Salem, passed away peacefully on February 19, 2013 surrounded by his family at Wellstead of Rogers, MN where he lived for the past year and half. Cremation has taken place and a funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Peace Church, New Salem with Reverend Joshua Eddy officiating. Burial will take place at Peace Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. A long-time dairy farmer in the New Salem area, Ken was very active in his community, serving on numerous boards. He was the supervisor of the Morton County Tree Planting, continuing his soil conservation ethics. He was a US Navy veteran and graduate of Wahpeton School of Science majoring in diesel mechanic’s. Ken is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Helen (nee Rider); his daughter, Terri (Jeff) Jore, Becker, MN; son, Tom (Didi) Klusmann, Albertville, MN; grandchildren, Benjamin and Laura Jore; brother, Ronnie (Sharon) Klusmann, Minot, ND; father-in-law, Lester Tisor, Beach, ND; brother-in-law, Paul Rider, St. Michael, MN; sister-in-law, Judy Hoger, New Salem, ND; and several nieces, relatives, and friends. Ken was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy “Peanut”; parents, Ted & Stella; brother-in-law, Kenneth Hoger; and mother-in-law, Ruby Tisor.
