Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to learn of Dr. Kolson’s death, and so long after the fact. He was my academic advisor during my years at Hiram in the mid to late ‘70s. When I decided to go into the United Methodist ministry in 1978, Dr. Kolson was deeply influential in my choice of graduate schools. I was a Hiram Graduate from Class of ‘86. Ken Kolson was an amazing political sci prof. Introduced me to the work of Samuel P. Huntington, Samuel Beer, and others. My Hiram experience wouldn’t have been the same without the opportunity to study under him.

Dear Jane: Im thinking about you and wishing you peace. I recall a lovely dinner at the Tabard Inn with you and Ken. I admired your deep connection. Love Tara

Jane,I was so sorry to see this in the paper. He was a wonderful person and over the 57 years I knew him, he was always a joy to joke with or (if need be) have a serious talk with. I am truly sad for your loss.
