Kraft, Kenneth "Pause friend let beauty refresh the spirit" is the quote his Father inscribed on the Exedra at the Kraft Azalea Gardens; which inspired the life of Kenneth H. Kraft, Jr., who succumbed to lung cancer on April 14, 2015 at the age of 81. He paused to collect friends, creating...

Not sure what to say?

On Tuesday September 8, 2015, I bought the most beautifully well kept and well loved car, which today I learned had belonged to your dad. I wanted to get in touch with him to tell him how happy I am to have such a luxury in my life and was so sad to find out he had passed on. Please accept my sincere condolences. I hope to see his gardens one day. He sounds like a wonderful man. I wanted him to know that I would do my very best to take care of and treasure the car that I know he must have...

What a nice man and a dear friend. We enjoyed traveling the world together. We pray for Ken and is wonderful family. Jim and Marge McCauley Oxford Ms.

An addenda: Ken's death has evoked so many memories of his generous nature and of his family's great gift to Winter Park-- Kraft Gardens! As a boy, I watched in reverent awe while my artistic Mother transformed blank canvasses with oil paints into images of Kraft Gardens' Cypress studded shoreline. Her plain-air works were equally appreciated by others who actually paid $100.00 (a significant sum in the early 1950s) for a sample of her art! I fished off an uncovered dock with a cane...

Many years ago two of the happiest people I have ever met came into my restaurant and wine shop in White Stone Virginia and what developed was a great friendship. I will never forget when they purchased their house and the kids came to town...both Al-my Wine Bar Manager and myself could not tell the kids anything until Ken and Kathy showed them the new place. Many fun times were had whenever they were in town. Both of them are missed by all of us at the White Stone Wine & Cheese.

So sorry to learn that Ken has passed on. Both he and Kathy were very dear to us in Irvington, VA. He will be greatly missed. Our thought and prayers are with the family.

Please accept my condolences. Ken was a kind and generous pillar of Winter Park's unique community. Central Park may be the "heart" of WP but "Kraft Gardens" is its "Soul"! Thanks to Ken and his generous family a pristine patch of WP's original paradise exists... Having personally enjoyed Kraft Gardens' beauty for a half-Century along with doing business through the years with the always fair and gracious Ken, please accept my heartfelt sympathy on your loss of a great individual. God...

Dear Kathy, Caroline & Charles, Ken & Lisa and his grandchildren whom Ken dearly loved. Our prayers and heartfelt sympathy are with you in Ken going home. We will see him again in Glory. I am blessed to have worked for Ken at the Insurance Agency and over the years we came to have a friendship in the Lord. May God ease your sorrow in your loss. Pauline & Dan Watson (Orlando, FL)

Our thoughts and prayers go out to you all. Trite words, but know that your father/grandfather is in a better place. And each of you is better for having had his love during his lifetime.

Our heartfelt sympathy to Kathy, Carolyn, Ken and all the family at the loss of this very special man. It was such a blessing to work for him and he will be greatly missed by so many. May God wrap His loving arms around you all and give you peace and comfort through this most difficult of times. Marsha and Howard Johnson
