Dear Ann - You know me only through my Mom, your dear childhood friend, Barbara Brunell. I am very sorry to hear of Mr. Mastroianni's passing as he truly was one of my favorite teachers from Hoosac Valley HS. He loved to challenge us and his calm, yet passionate demeanor and kindness shone through in all of his interactions with our class. May all of the love and years together you have shared give you peace. My sincere condolences.

Ann, Brian and the Mastroianni family, we are so sorry to hear of Ken's passing. It was always so enjoyable to hear Ken sing. Our thought and prayers are with you.

To Ann and Brian, We are sorry for your loss. We are fellow adoption travelers to Chile and we took pleasure in knowing how happy you were in your loving family. Ken was a true gentleman. David and Carol Weissbrod

I attended Hoosac Valley High School, Class of 1979. Mr Mastroianni made us feel respected as young adults. He was a superb teacher who really loved his profession. He served as a mentor for our winning ANSWERS PLEASE HIGH SCHOOL QUIZ Team, that competed on WRGB CHANNEL 6 against other area high schools near Schenectady NY. Thank you Mr Mastroianni for inspiring me on my educational journey which led me to UMASS Medical School in Worcester and then a 30 year career as a primary...

Mr Mastroianni was the first high school teacher at Hoosac Valley High School who made me feel what it would be like in college. He was always dressed nicely and treated every student with respect. He held us to a high standard. I will always remember how he would check his wrist watch to tell us the date that we were to place on our quizzes and tests. I also fondly remember how he served as a mentor for our ANSWERS PLEASE team that represented HVHS on WRGB Channel 6 in Schenectady...
