My husband, Orion Dwain Smith, and Kenneth were good friends. Their families lived next door to each other on Marlborough in Oak Cliff. Kenneth and Dwain went through school together, and Kenneth was a groomsman at our wedding in 1972. Dwain dearly loved Kenneth and spoke of him often. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends at this difficult time. Dwain passed away in October of 2018, and I know he and Kenneth are together again in Heaven.

So sorry to hear of Kenneth's passing. I always enjoyed his friendship at Winnetka Elementary. We all had wonderful times at Winnetka, both with school activities and Boy Scout parties. I hate to think that he is gone now. My condolences to all of his family. Gennell Pierce Standifer
