I'm very sorry to hear this. I just learned about Dr. Miller when I stumbled upon his most recent book, a biography of Frederick Howe. It has been most helpful for me in a chapter I am now completing, and I wanted to write him to let him know as much. It appears that I have missed him by just a few months. My condolences to his family - he clearly had a great mind and, judging by the content of his work, it seems like he had a great heart, as well.
