I was saddened to learn of Ken's passing. We first met more than 30 years ago, through an AFL-CIO program focused on Africa. Then, much later, all of us retired, we met again through the Death Club, an informal group of labor writers who belonged to the Press Club. We would meet for long lunches from time to time. Most of the members have left now. Ken was an honorary member. His humor was unbeatable. And his knowledge of a range of subjects made conversation with him always enjoyable...

I did not know Ken though my late father Jake Seidenberg knew him quite well as a colleague for many years. I heard him mention the name Kenny Moffett many times. They knew many people in common and certainly crossed paths through the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service. My father was a mediator and labor arbitrator nearly 50 years.
