When I first met Mack, that is what we called him when he was at his first duty station at Camp Johnson in North Carolina. We were inseparable. He often spoke about his family and about music. Back then my passion was playing basketball and despite Mack did not play a lot he also participated. He was that kind of guy that was determine to master basketball just like everything in life. He did.
