Not sure what to say?

This was written by his family and read by Pastor Tom Carlson at Dad's funeral.

Kenny was born in Minneapolis, the first of four brothers, to Arthur Olson and Ethel Larson in 1922. When he was 11 his mother died and he and his brother Mickey went to stay with their grandmother in New London, MN. He grew up there and graduated from High School. He said of that time he should have spent more time studying and less time playing sports but everyone who knows him knows he turned out...

Bob and I enjoyed Kenny's friendship
both in MN, and Winter Haven, FL, at
Carefree Country Club. We looked
forward to his visits and lunch dates. Bob said in all the time that he knew Kenny that he would
consider him one of his best friends. Considerate, easy to talk
to, and a great sense of humor, were
some of the reasons we loved him.
I will treasure the recipes we shared and think of him every time
I make onion soup.

I have so many memories of Uncle Kenny. I don't think he ever missed one of our girls' functions. Always had a smile on his face and many laughing moments. I will miss Uncle Kenny but now know that him and my dad (Mickey) will be watching over each and every one of us.

My sincerest wishes for peaceful, happy memories that warm the hearts of his family. I could never thank Ken enough for the kindness and support he showed my father during several of dad's trips to the hospital. We could always be guaranteed to laugh 'til our faces hurt. Kenny will be missed.

After knowing you only 3 years, I couldn't help but love you!
You were always a gentleman and always smiling!
You were the best grandpa ever to Mark, and a great-grandpa to Sydney.
We thank you for the lasting memories!
I love you with all my heart!
See you in heaven Grandpa Olson!
Lovingly missing you,
Krista

Kenneth Olson was my beloved uncle. He and his wife, Helen were chosen as my God Parents for my baptism. My father was the youngest of the family and Kenny was the oldest. With my father passing away more than 12 years ago, Uncle Kenny still reminded me of him. They looked alike, they talked alike and were so similar in their mannerisms that I sometimes thought I was still talking to my Dad when I was actually talking to Kenny. I will miss him much like I miss my own father. But I am...
