Ostrom, Kenneth A. Age 83, of Brooklyn Park, passed away peacefully in his sleep and went to be with the Lord September 25, 2008. Preceded in death by parents, Carl and Oliva Ostrom; brother, Lyonell. Survived by his devoted wife of 61 years, Freddie Ostrom; sons, Steven (Paula) Ostrom, Scott (Patricia) Ostrom; daughter, Gayle (Robert) Quinn; grandchildren, Martha, Carly, George, Heidi, Ryan, Brian, Kevin, Justin and Sean; sisters, Burnell Peavy, Phyllis Mckinney; nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. Graduate of North High School in Minneapolis. Trained as a Naval pilot during WWII. Craftsman and builder of fine homes. Many years of volunteering. Very active member of Elim Lutheran Church with a strong Christian Faith. He was a loved and treasured father and brought much happiness to all he knew. He admired his family and was extremely proud of his 9 grandchildren. He leaves behind a legacy of personal giving and sharing. We will all miss him so much, and will carry on his legacy. Rest in peace Ken, we love you. Memorials preferred to Elim Lutheran Church. Celebration of Ken's life will be Monday 10/6/08, 11 AM, at Elim Lutheran Church, 3978 W. Broadway in Robbinsdale. Visitation 1 hour prior to service at church. Private interment. Washburn-McReavy Robbinsdale Chapel 763-537-2333

Maybe now Ken is finally getting all his questions answered. He was a good friend and a loved brother in Christ. We will all miss him. We will keep Freddie and the rest of the family in our prayers.

Ken was one fine Christian who always had time to teach others at the many Bible Studies he led. Ken was a leader and always had a big smile for you. He also used his talents that God gave him as a craftsman and built many beautiful things for Elim Church and the place he lived the past few years. Ken will be missed by many and my sympathy goes out to his family and friends.
