What a very sad day! Mr. Pickett was one of my favorite people. He was one of those people who made everyone feel special and important. He gave so much of his time to the youth in Cumberland County. So many lives were influenced by Mr. Pickett for the good. I thank him from all of us who called ourselves 4-Hers.

I was a reporter for The Bridgeton Evening News and later for The Press of Atlantic City. Mr. Pickett was always so kind and helpful to me. I remember a historical piece he helped me with - it is still on the county website. He was truly a gentleman. Prayers to the family.

My condolences also to those he left behind. He was a fine fellow. Ken lived on our farm for awhile. I wish I still had the beautiful leather purse he made for me. Diane Ferguson Steelman, Vero Beach, FL
