Kenneth PITRE

Ken and his wife Dorothy have been long-time members of the Vancouver Dahlia Society. We all enjoyed Ken's participation and love of dahlias. He will be missed.

I worked closely with Ken at DFO for over 10 years in the 1980s and early 1990s, with both of us heavily involved in the Canada-US salmon treaty negotiations and both specialising in chinook salmon. He was the sage and knowledgeable manager and I was the scientist/number-cruncher. We had an interesting, and at times intense, relationship, but I always thought of Ken as my friend.
