Not sure what to say?

My sincerest condolences to Ken's family. I met Ken Labor Day Weekend 2014 at a soccer tournament in AZ and have gotten to know him this past year as Ken was a referee for numerous club games in the Phoenix area. Ken was truly a rare blend of referee professionalism able to officiate the highest level games, but wanting to give back to the younger refs and volunteering to mentor the next generation of referees. And the smile that I have read about from others, that is how I will remember...

Thoughts and prayers with the family! Miss you big time Ken!!! Great memories and your smile and laugh will be forever cherished!!!! Happy guy all the time!! Sunshine for you every day :) XOXO

The first time I met Ken was (surprise) at a high school game at Shoreline Stadium. It was a night game and the lighting was such that when I looked over at Ken, all I could see was a smile. In the years that followed, I don't think I ever saw him without that smile and wonderful ability to make me smile. My thoughts are with his family who also lit up his face when he talked about them.

I worked with Ken many years as a HS and youth soccer ref. We had many laughs together, and he brought a happy spirit to everything he did. My son died a few years ago and when I asked Ken to help ref the game we play to remember my son, he (Ken) said yes without asking the day or time. Just yes. That was Ken: he was truly a friend. I will treasure this aspect of his life, as well as his love of family. My sincere condolences.

I was so sad to see this... I worked when Ken was officiating high school soccer games in Everett... he was the nicest, and funniest man. Sincere condolences to his family. He talked about his kids many times and how proud he was of them! Such a loss.

Ken and I refereed together for many years. He would bring his freshly smoked salmon to sample and then talk about the new recipe he was trying. Ken just open the package, he would just laugh. Ken will sorely be missed on the soccer field.

I gad many classes with Ken during our years at MHS. He was a truly nice guy. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, wife and children. God has received an angel.

Praying for peace and comfort for the Ptacek family. R.I.P. Ken

Sorry to hear about the passing of Ken. Our prayers are with the family. Ken will be missed by all that knew him.
