Not sure what to say?

Ken was my pastor in Dryden, NY and baptized my older son, Tristan--preceding the ceremony with one of his characteristic discourses on the origin of the baby's name (an unusual choice at that time) and the history of the Arthurian character who held it. Such delightful importations of learning and curiosity about all things into his services is one of my most vivid memories of Ken (he is certainly the only pastor with whom I ever discussed Plato). I miss him for his compassion, kindness,...

Mr. Read was always there, fire place always going giving the street a wonderful familiar smell each time we visited...We enjoyed cooking meals now and then and sharing them with Mr. Read, he was always smiling. I have a wonderful picture, from a recent Fall walk, he will be missed. Susan Reid Simon (a Phillips Granddaughter)

To the family of Ken Read, I send my sincere condolences. I dearly remember his compassionate pastoral care in Dryden and his presiding over the marriage of my daughter Anina. I am pleased that he had a long and fruitful life. God bless you all.

We were very sorry to learn of Ken's death. May God rest his soul and comfort all of his family and his many friends who mourn his passing.

To the family of Ken Read, We want to send our condolences. We are "Summer" residence, living across the street from Ken. He was always there with a hearty hand shake and a big smile when we would meet. I am sure he will be missed....I cannot imagine Ocean Park without Ken.....sincere sympathy, John and Lee Dunn

It is difficult to accept the loss of a man whose life was such an outstanding example of authenticity and unconditional love ~ not to mention a wicked sense of humor! You were anxious to return home to Edith, your "Alice Blue Gown." You will be missed, but those of us who crossed your path are so much better for having known you!

Our visit to Maine and W.Casco Avenue each year has given me so many lasting, unforgettable memories. Your spirit, sense of humor and love will be with me always. I miss you.

We love you, and we miss you! Happy "almost 90th birthday, Ken! We will be celebrating it with you in spirit.

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
