Judy, Ralph and Katy --

I remember Ken like it was yesterday -- at his home in Shelton, always, always so welcoming to all of Judy's college friends. Ken and Nancy were also constant visitors at school and were welcome by everyone, especially students who did not have the luxury of family visits. They were parents to all of us.

Ken was so blessed to have such a long and wonderful life, but for those who loved him, it was still much too short.

To all of...

I have such great memories of Mr. Rood. He was a special teacher who always seemed to love what he was doing even when we got out of line, occasionally that is. Part of the Hopkins experiance that will be missed.

I am sad to hear this news. I have many fond and vivid memories of Ken Rood. He was an excellent History teacher and I got to know him well as he drove me and several other boys from our area to Hopkins every day. A wise and very patient man, much loved and dearly remembered. My condolences to the family.

I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. Please find peace and comfort in Psalms 65:2.

With fond memories and prayers for the family; Mr. Rood was one of my favorite teachers at Hopkins. I remember him as a very very kind and humorous man.

I fondly remember Ken Rood as one of my teachers at Hopkins. I went on to major in history at Colby College, thanks to the interest in that field which Ken instilled in me.

To Ken's Family -

I knew your dad well from my days as organist/choir director at Good Shepherd back in the 70's. Nancy sang in the choir and she and Ken would often take me to programs at Hopkins school. What a grand couple they made and our world is a bit darker without their presence. My condolences to the entire family.
