Not sure what to say?

Every time I hear a Grateful Dead song, I think of Kenny and am grateful to have had him in my life.

Kenny was a wonder. I cannot and will not delete his contact from my phone. It was a very lucky day to have met him at the UNH gym and then many many times after that when we "older kids" were enjoying our workouts and conversations. You are missed, Kenny.

Dr. Rotner was my PC Physician. He uncovered a heart condition and made it possible for me to go to MGH for monitoring and treatment. I will have open heart surgery in November to correct the condition. My gratitude to Dr. Rotner grows as my treatment plan evolves. Thank you, Dr. You were a fine person and an excellent doctor.

Our family remembers Dr Rotner as a wonderful diagnostician, a compassionate caregiver and a dear friend. Kenny literally saved my husband´s life as well as one of our sons. He was an extraordinary man and doctor. Gratefully, The Walter Eggers family

To the Rotner Family: My deepest condolences on the untimely passing of Kenny. We were high school classmates, I remember him as a free-spirited member of the soccer team. I regret never getting to see him after graduation, as we were among the relatively few who became physicians. From the posts I read, I hope my friends and acquaintances feel the same way about me as they did about him. May you all be comforted by the fine memories he leaves behind.

I knew Dr. Rotner as the best primary care doc I ever had. I really liked him as a
caring person and an extremely thorough, empathetic care giver. I only wish I knew him better. I was shocked to hear of his death. I am so sorry for his family but I bet his gentle humor and warm smile lives on in a better, gentler place.

Kenny was the old school country doctor who cared for all living things. Over the twenty plus years he was my gp he propped me up with sound advice and care that went beyond the office visits. I'd see him several times a week when we shared swimming in and outdoors at UNH. He'd always stop and check in, we'd trade barbs back and forth during the baseball season (His one fault being a Yankees fan) but he'd always want to know about you and how you were. I will miss the twinkle in his eye, the...

Kenny was, hands down, THE most compassionate and committed primary care doctor to my husband for a decade. Not only was he on top of every health concern - he actually really cared about his patients. We are profoundly saddened that he has left this world way too early. Clearly he has touched the hearts and made a difference to so many. We are grateful to have known him and deeply sorry for your loss.

Ken will be missed in the UNH locker room. When I first met him he had possibly the WORST swim stroke I'd ever seen. But his enthusiasm for swimming and determination to improve never left
him. And he improved tremendously over the years. I'll miss Ken's earnest discussions about politics, life and family along with near constant teasing about being in his way in the locker room.
