Not sure what to say?

I haven't talked to Ken in years I know I'm late on this but life got in the way. Ken was my reading tutor is elementary. I got to meet him his wife he took me to louisville basketball games and bats games this man truly had a huge impact on my life and I will never forget him till the day I die

I'm saddened to learn of Ken's passing. He was a fine journalist, a credit to the profession and a wonderful soul. Over so many years, he offered friendship and encouragement to many young journalists getting started in the profession. I'll always remember him for that generosity of spirit and for the role model he was. The world needs more Ken Rowland's... And it will miss this one.

My remembrance of this fine man and erstwhile colleague is a fond one. I was fortunate enough to have been hired by WLKY as a reporter in '83. As a young journalist (not quite 26 when I got there), I was thankful to have seasoned pros to look up to and learn from. Ken was chief among them. Ken cared about the product, cared about Louisville, and cared about his colleagues. He was a journalistic role model to all of us and a pro at the desk. Co-workers including Liz Everman, Steve Burgin and...

So sorry for your loss. Many prayers for this family.

I never met Mr. Rowland but I grew up watching him on the news . People like Ken are why I love Kentucky. I could tell he was a class act just from seeing him on TV and the couple of times I saw him in public. My prayers and sympathy are with his family, especially his dear wife of so many years. God bless Ken and all his family and mourners ( which probably includes everybody in Kentuckiana ) .

You have our deepest and sincerest condolences. Ken was a very special man. He was generous to a fault, extremely friendly, and an all around nice guy. May you all be comforted by loving memories of Ken.

I went to school with his son Steve and grew-up with his father on the news every night. It was through Ken that I leaned how important the press was. My thoughts are with the family.
