Kenneth I. Runkle

As with Mary McNally's entry, I don't know the family, but my father too served aboard the same B-17 along with Kenneth. I had the privilege to speak with him (a year or so ago) thanks to Lynn Dollar. I could feel the goodness in this man's heart through both his voice and words in that 30 minute conversation. I regret not speaking with him since then. Condolences to his family and friends.

Hello....we do not know each other, but through Mr. Lynn Dollar, I have learned of Kenneth's passing. My father, Vernon Dicke,
was co-pilot in the same B-17 crew as Kenneth. WWII was a long time ago and a different era, but it's important to remember their service in difficult situations, from their training, through the POW times. How wonderful it was that they were able to come back home and Carry On! Prayers to all of you, and joy in remembering the good times. Mrs. Mary McNally...

Ed and Family, We are sorry to hear of the loss of your Dad. May God and your memories sustain you and the family at this time. Prayers and hugs to you all.

Ed, so sorry to hear about your dad. He was a good man and a good friend of our parents. Everyone always spoke highly of him. I saw him at an exhibit of a bomber, at the airport, a few years ago. He truly lived a good and interesting life. A true hero. God bless him. I live out of town now and will not be able to attend his service; but, I will be having good thoughts for you and him.
