Obituary
Skogen, Kenneth Allen age 52, of Elk River. Passed away unexpectedly November 12, 2005. Preceded in death by his grandparents. Survived by parents, Ken & Phyllis Skogen of Elk River; 2 sisters, Brenda (John) Skogen of Duluth, Sheila (Shawn) Riddle of Elk River; 2 stepdaughters, Marlene (Steve) Backes of CA, Jennifer (Tony) Anthonlssen of WA; long-time special companion, Diane Wheeler. Also survived by 3 nephews, Jonathon, Jacob & Justin; 1 niece, Baylee; numerous other family members and friends. Kenny was loved and will be missed deeply by his family and friends. I found a letter today you wrote to me before my wedding. I've been cleaning stuff up around my house. De-cluttering, simplifying it was weird reading it. Seems so strange after all this time I think of you lately.

Wow its been 3 years...
Its really weird but I have been thinking about my Dad lately. Maybe its because thoughts of growing up have been coming up a lot. Good to know though I will meet him in heaven.

I thought a lot about my dad lately. I am very sad to know he'll never know his grandchildren. I miss him very much, but I am very glad to know I will be reunited with him in heaven.

Yea so its weird that I haven't thought of my Dad dying for quite awhile. Maybe because I wasn't around and hadn't talk to him in so long. Today a song came on my ipod that reminded me of him and for some reason I kind of cried. It was a strange feeling. I do miss knowing that he is out there alive somewhere. Anyway just strange I guess. Since I haven't cried in a long time for him.
